The country needs public servants who are imbued with the culture of integrity, ethics, accountability and transparency. This is the goal of the “Show Your SALNs Movement”.
The underlying traits are essential to the vetting of prospective elective and appointed officials.
The attributes are also crucial in monitoring their finances to help uncover ill-gotten wealth.
To that end, proponents of the “Show Your SALNs Movement” clamor for strict compliance with RA 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act) and RA 6713 (An Act Establishing a Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees)
We at Global Filipino Nation (GFN) invite your organization to be a Founding Stakeholder of the “Show
Your SALNs Movement”.
- The proposed activities involving the Founding Stakeholders include:
- Promote general awareness among the citizenship of the goal of the movement utilizing print, broadcast and social media;
- Provide a digital dashboard that contains the SALNs of electoral candidates running for election, elected officials and those appointed for major positions from President down to the House of Representatives and appointive positions from the Cabinet down to the bureau level;
- Mobilize the proactive participation of civic groups at the local level for a parallel vetting and monitoring system of local and sub-bureau officials;
- Enlist Champions at the Legislature to support the Movement; and
- Lobby Congress to pass a law that provides a limited “Amnesty’ period relating to the submission of the required SALNs, after which strict complied will be enforced.
Should your organization accept our invitation to be an Organizing Stakeholder, we plan to hold an organizing Zoom meeting of the handful of Organizing Stakeholders.
